64-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near Pabco Road

LAS VEGAS, NV (February 10, 2022) – A pedestrian crash on Las Vegas Boulevard claimed the life of Phyllis Diane Haynes Sunday morning.

The collision happened on the north side of Pabco Road, near Apex around 4:00 a.m.

As per the preliminary report, a 2018 Nissan Altima heading south on Las Vegas Boulevard hit a female pedestrian who was walking in the same direction. Crews responded to the scene just north of Pabco Road.

Medical personnel says 64-year-old Haynes died at the scene due to multiple blunt force injuries.

Meanwhile, the 73-year-old male driver of the Nissan stayed on the scene; he showed no signs of impairment.

The pedestrian’s death marked the 17th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas Metro’s jurisdiction for 2022. The crash remains under investigation as of this time.
