Wondering why you're stuck in a traffic jam from hell during what should be a breezy Good Friday rush hour?

The hold-up has everything to do with a mysterious armored vehicle (Bruce Willis, are you in there??) dangling off the 5 South overpass in Boyle Heights, glaring down menacingly at the 10 West and dripping all its gas onto a freeway exit.

Lovely! ABC7 has been airing some pretty spellbinding footage of the big “teeter” all afternoon…

… and those stuck in traffic have been kind/bored enough to Tweet from the scene. Here are the best shots we can find:

Street and freeway closures have lasted almost two hours since the crash was first reported at around 3:45 p.m. But the photos — and the heisty true-Hollywood drama! — almost make it worth the wait.

There's something very grotesque and human about whatever happened to the front end of the vehicle — like its guts are spilling out all over the 5.

And Shaun Ochsner at Inland News reports that the vehicle is a “money transport truck,” which ups the intrigue factor, like, tenfold. What is that word printed across the side of this gory beast? Garda??

Sweet.
