International hipster supercouple Sofia Coppola (daughter of Francis Ford, ex-wife of Spike Jonze, Oscar winner for Lost in Translation) and Thomas Mars (lead singer of Phoenix, ie that French band you sort of care about who are not Daft Punk or Air) are in the process of making both a baby and a movie.

In an interview with the BBC, Mars talks about working on the score for Coppola's next film, Somewhere. Calling his audio compositions “very minimal,” Mars says the process “wasn't like writing songs, it was more about trying to make a sound that fits with a Ferrari and the city of Los Angeles' theme.” Somewhere, incidentally, stars Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning and is set at the Chateau Marmont; it's expected to be unveiled at film festivals in September.
