Santa Rosa Detective Hurt in DUI Crash near E Street

SANTA ROSA, CA (February 6, 2023) – Wednesday night, Peter Rochelle was arrested after a DUI collision on 4th Street.

Officers responded to the scene around 7:00 p.m., near E Street.

According to reports, the driver of a northbound Nissan Titan ran a red light while traveling at about 40 to 45 mph.

As a result, the Nissan struck a detective’s vehicle that was heading through a green light at the intersection. Medical personnel arrived and treated the detective for minor injuries.

In addition, the department-issued SUV sustained significant damages. Following preliminary duties, authorities arrested 56-year-old Peter Rochelle for suspicion of felony DUI after failing a sobriety test.
