In his heyday, Hollywood legend Peter Falk was sharp as hell — parading through “Colombo” with a Bogart lisp, beige coat and dashing curl, pulling Emmys like they were weeds. Sadly, though, he was overtaken by dementia in the last years of his life (some speculated it was caused by an anesthesia OD at the dentist's) and required around-the-clock care. He was transfered to a conservatorship with Alzheimer's in 2009. So today, as family members confirm to CBS he's dead at 83, we prefer to remember Falk at his best: roasting the late, great Frank Sinatra. May their banter carry on up above.
