Cops are on the lookout for a brazen perv who followed a group of girls near Tujunga's Mountain View Elementary School over the weekend and then allegedly tried to kidnap one of them.

It happened about 2 p.m. Sunday in the 6600 block of Olcott Street, police said:

According to the LAPD, the man was behind the wheel of a “faded tan or burnt orange” SUV with a tan or gray interior and oversize wheels when he started following the girls.

The department says in a statement that the suspect then did this:

He waited until one of the girls was alone and offered to give her a ride. The suspect exited his vehicle and attempted to forcibly place the eleven year old victim into his vehicle. The victim screamed for help which caused the suspect to release her and flee the scene.

The creep was described as being his early 40s, 5 feet, 3 inches tall, with a slender, muscular build and nearly bald hair. (See the department's sketch, above).
