Female Driver Arrested after DUI Accident near L and M Street in Eureka
EUREKA, CA (January 26, 2022) – Late Friday, police arrested 32-year-old Peggy Orcutt after a DUI crash on 5th Street.
The multi-vehicle collision caused 5th Street between L and M streets to close for almost an hour.
Reports indicate that Orcutt collided with a parked truck and pushed it into a second parked vehicle. However, further circumstances leading up to the collision remain unclear.
Paramedics arrived and transported Orcutt to a local hospital for further evaluation.
Meanwhile, authorities issued Orcutt a notice to appear for forcefully resisting arrest and DUI, rather than detaining her. At this time, the DUI collision is still under active investigation.
