Hit-and-Run Accident near Milepost 7 Left One Pedestrian Hospitalized

VADO, NM (August 8, 2023) – Authorities are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash on State Road 478 that hospitalized one person.

Per initial reports, the accident occurred at about 6 a.m., August 1st, after authorities received calls about an unknown vehicle that struck a pedestrian. The vehicle involved quickly fled the scene after the collision.

Upon arrival, first responders quickly transported the injured person to a nearby hospital. However, their identity has not been released at this time.

The only description given about the vehicle was that it was possibly a Ford truck or SUV. Moreover, Vado Officials will release additional information once it is made available to the public.

Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
