Trolley Accident near Central Avenue Left One Fatality

LEMON GROVE, CA (December 22, 2021) – Police are investigating a trolley crash near Central Avenue that left a pedestrian dead Friday evening.

The incident happened around 5:50 p.m. on San Diego Metropolitan Transit Service’s Orange Line trolley tracks.

At this time, deputies from the sheriff’s Lemons Grover substation are investigating the crash.

In addition, Metropolitan Transit Service tweeted that the Orange line connecting to El Cajon downtown could not operate.

Later on, MTS resumed their operation with one track only just before 7 p.m. and advised people to expect delays.
