Pedestrian vs Train Accident near Bay Drive Left One Fatality

RIVERSIDE, CA (March 1, 2022) – One unidentified pedestrian died in a train crash on Highway 111 Monday evening.

The crash happened at 6:17 p.m. on February 21st, near Highway 111 and Bay Drive.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a train in the North Shore area struck the pedestrian. Although, the events that led up to the collision remain unknown.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical professionals. Although, officials did not release the identity of the victim pending notification of his loved ones.

At this time, officials have not released information about the crash, but an active investigation is underway.

The Riverside police will release additional information once it becomes available.
