Pedestrian Accident near Alaska Avenue Left One Fatality

FAIRFIELD, CA (March 23, 2022) – On Friday morning, a traffic crash on Texas Street killed one pedestrian, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 6:23 a.m. in the 2200 block of North Texas Street between Pacific and Alaska Avenues.

Eventually, the victim was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to the sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Moreover, according to the investigators, speed or alcohol did not play a factor in the crash.

Afterward the collision closed North Texas Street but reopened after several hours, authorities said.
