Hit-and-Run on Monterey Street Left One Pedestrian Dead

SANTA CLARA, CA (January 24, 2022) – On Monday, a pedestrian died following a hit-and-run on Monterey Street.

According to authorities, the crash happened on Monterey Street north of Masten Avenue.

Furthermore, according to the report, a 2016-19 Honda Civic struck the pedestrian approaching Monterey Street.

Subsequently, the driver abruptly fled the accident area shortly after the impact.

Consequently, the unidentified 39-year-old San Martin resident pedestrian died at the scene.

Meanwhile police are in search of the Honda Civic. Additionally, authorities believed their mirror splintered after the collision.

Both directions of the roadway were closed for cleanup and preliminary duties.

An active investigation into the fatal hit-and-run on Monterey Street is still underway.
