Hit-and-Run Crash on El Camino Real near Escuela Avenue Left Woman Dead

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (February 20, 2023) – Thursday morning, a pedestrian sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on El Camino Real.

The incident happened on February 9th, at around 7:09 a.m. between Clark Avenue and Escuela Avenue.

According to reports, a woman was near the eastbound lanes of El Camino Real, when she was struck by a mid-late-2000s Nissan Sedan. The impact of the collision left the woman with serious injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle left the scene without rendering aid to the victim.

Emergency crews arrived to the site of the collision shortly after. Medics then transported the pedestrian, identified as a woman in her 50s, to a local hospital for treatment. There, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. She has not yet been identified by authorities.

At this time, police are still working to identify the driver of the involved vehicle. Mountain View police encourage anyone with further information on the matter to please contact the police department immediately.
