Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident on Sahuara Avenue

TUCSON, AZ (December 6, 2021) – Tucson police released the description of a vehicle involved in hit-and-run crash on 22nd Street that left one man dead.

The crash occurred at the intersection of 22nd Street and Sahuara Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

Witnesses said the driver of a car struck a man while he was crossing the roadway at a crosswalk with the HAWK signal turned on. Due to the impact of the collision, officers discovered the unconscious victim on the street.

The involved automobile is now described as a dark-colored sedan or hatchback with damage to the hood and windshield, according to police.

After arriving at the hospital, medics pronounced him dead due to the extent of injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities have not yet released his identity.
