Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run near Friar Street

LOS ANGELES, CA (November 28, 2022) – Saturday evening, a male pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run on Belmar Avenue.

The incident happened around 11:40 p.m., near Friar Street in the neighborhood of Tarzana, Los Angeles. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, a westbound Nissan made a left turn onto southbound Belmar Avenue and hit a male pedestrian. Upon impact, the driver continued southbound and failed to render aid to the victim before authorities arrived. 

The male victim, only described as a man in his 30s, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. His identity remains undisclosed to the public pending notification of next of kin.
