Man Dies in Fatal Collision near Starr Avenue in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (October 5, 2021) – Monday morning, a pedestrian was fatally struck in a deadly crash on Interstate 15.
According to reports, the collision involved one a vehicle and a pedestrian. Crews responded to the scene around 10:34 a.m., on the northbound lanes of the highway.
Authorities say there was a possible disabled white utility vehicle stopped on the right side of the road with its hazards on. An adult male was standing outside the vehicle when a van struck him.
Due to the impact of the collision, the male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
In addition, the driver of the van that struck the man remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. However, his name has not yet been disclosed.
Following preliminary duties, police do not suspect that impairment played a factor. Although, an active investigation remains ongoing.
At this time, no further information has been released.
