Two-Vehicle Crash near Charleston Boulevard Left One Fatality
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 7, 2022) – Officers responded to a crash near Charleston Boulevard that left a pedestrian dead Thursday afternoon.
The accident happened near Charleston Boulevard and North 28th Street around 5:00 p.m.
Furthermore, as per preliminary investigation, while waiting for the green signal on the crosswalk; the pedestrian stood at the corner of the southeast corner of the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and 28th Street
Consequently, a 2012 black Hyundai Tucson heading westbound on Charleston Boulevard while turning left, eventually collided with a 2002 silver Honda Civic driving eastbound and approaching the intersection.
Eventually, the Honda Civic rotated and hit the pedestrian and a large power-line support.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported to the UMC Trauma where they died later.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the Honda Civic driver to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
Subsequently, the two drivers showed no signs of impairment.
An active investigation into the fatal pedestrian collision is currently underway.
