SUV Strikes Pedestrian near Amargosa Road

VICTORVILLE, CA (April 15, 2022) – Last Monday, a vehicle collision on Hook Boulevard injured a pedestrian according to police.

At about 8:31 p.m., the collision happened on Hook Blvd near Amargosa Road, near the Stater Brothers shopping center, involving a black Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Subsequently, emergency crews responded to the scene and found an adult male down in the westbound lanes of Hook Blvd.

Meanwhile, a Mercy Air helicopter was requested to airlift the pedestrian to a nearby trauma center.

The black 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Furthermore, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

The crash marked the second accident of a vehicle and pedestrian collision reported in the City of Victorville within one hour and about a mile apart.

An active investigation into the pedestrian collision is currently underway.
