Suspected DUI Crash on San Pablo Avenue Left Elderly Pedestrian in Critical Condition
BERKELEY, CA (August 23, 2021) – On Wednesday, a suspected DUI crash on San Pablo Avenue sends an elderly man to the hospital in critical condition.
The incident occurred around 2:46 P.M. in the area of San Pablo Avenue and Oregon Street.
Afterwards, the authorities arrested the 65-year-old Berkeley male driver at the scene for suspicion of driving under the influence.
Meanwhile, medical personnel transported the 59-year-old male victim to a local trauma center after being in critical but now stable condition.
According to Berkeley Officials, Grayson Street and Heinz Avenue will remain closed for several hours during the DUI crash investigation.
