Suspected DUI Driver on G Street Hospitalized One Pedestrian

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 17, 2021) – Police arrested a 46-year-old man following a suspected DUI crash on G Street in downtown San Diego that left one person injured.

The incident occurred around 5:20 P.M. after the driver of a Chevy Captiva turned left from G Street onto 11th Avenue.

Afterwards, the drunk driver struck a pedestrian who was later identified as a man in his 30s.

As a result, the pedestrian sustained a compound fracture to his right leg and was in need of immediate medical attention.

Eventually, medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported the man to a hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, authorities arrested the driver upon suspicion of driving under the influence.

San Diego authorities are currently investigating the G street DUI crash.
