Man Seriously Hurt in Pedestrian Collision near Down Way

LAS VEGAS, NV (January 27, 2022) – A 48-year-old pedestrian sustained critical injuries in a crash near Washington Avenue Thursday night.

The pedestrian crash happened near Down Way and West Washington Avenue, reports say.

According to the police, crews responded to the scene just after 6:00 p.m., involving an SUV and a pedestrian.

Per reports, a male pedestrian was walking outside of a marked crosswalk on Washington Avenue for reasons unknown. There, the man was struck by a passing KIA Sorento.

Shortly after, paramedics arrived and rushed the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Although, there has been no update on their current condition.

Meanwhile, the occupants from inside the KIA Sorento vehicle remained unharmed.

At this time, an active investigation about the collision is still ongoing.
