Pedestrian Crash on Main Street Left One Hurt

COTTONWOOD, AZ (January 6, 2022) – On Monday morning, a pedestrian crash on Main Street injured one person.

According to authorities, the incident happened on Main Street and East Gila Street.

Reports say that the driver of the vehicle was a 74-year-old female, with no passenger.

Furthermore, the pedestrian involved was a 66-year-old male resident.

Upon investigation, authorities found out that the vehicle was moving southbound on North Main Street.

Afterwards, her vision was obstructed by the sun, and struck the pedestrian crossing from North Main Street to South.

Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to FMC for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver showed no signs of impairment.
