One Injured in Semi-Truck Accident near Washington Street

PETALUMA, CA (July 29, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, a big-rig collision on Highway 101 in Petaluma left one person with major injuries.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on July 26th, at around 12:20 p.m., when a semi-truck hit a man sitting on the side of the off-ramp for Washington Street.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene of the accident shortly after, and rushed the victim to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Medics report that the pedestrian’s injuries were not life-threatening.

Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
