Man Critically Injured in Pedestrian Crash near 51st Avenue in Glendale
GLENDALE, AZ (April 15, 2021) – Saturday night, a male pedestrian was hospitalized after a collision on Camelback Road, near 51st Avenue.
The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. Emergency crews say a man was crossing Camelback Road when he was struck by an eastbound silver sedan.
Per reports, the male pedestrian was somewhere in or near the crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Paramedics arrived and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital for further treatment of life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with the authorities.
At this time, it does not appear that the driver will face any charges. However, an active investigation to determine further details about the collision on Camelback Road remains ongoing.
The surrounding area on Camelback Road was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. But, the roadway has reopened.
