1 Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident near Columbia Avenue in Riverside

RIVERSIDE, CA (December 10, 2021) – Sunday morning, an unidentified pedestrian was fatally struck in a collision on Interstate 215.

Officers responded to the incident around 6:28 a.m., on the southbound lanes of the freeway near Columbia Avenue.

At this time, the number of injuries remains unclear but the California Highway Patrol officers confirmed that at least one pedestrian was killed.

In addition, the crash temporarily caused a gridlock, according to the issued SigAlert. However, all lanes later reopened around 9:12 a.m.
