70-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Collision on 13th Street

SAN PEDRO, CA (December 7, 2022) – Early Monday morning, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on South Pacific Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene around 5:10 a.m., near 13th Street on December 5th after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.

At this time, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, reports indicate that the driver of a sanitation truck struck a pedestrian in the area.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the 70-year-old male pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, police have not yet released his name or place of residency.

Following preliminary duties, the truck driver was not arrested and a thorough investigation is being handled by the Valley Traffic Division. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal pedestrian accident on South Pacific Avenue.
