Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Hit-and-Run Collision near Leadwell Street

WINNETKA, CA (February 4, 2022) – Monday evening, a male pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Winnetka Avenue.

Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene at around 6:20 p.m., near John A. Sutter Middle School.

Furthermore, officers located the body of a pedestrian that was struck and killed by a vehicle. Due to the extent of his injuries, paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

According to a later report, one of the three drivers who hit the victim ended up returning to the scene.

Authorities later arrested the driver on charges of felony hit-and-run. Additionally, police are still searching for potentially two additional drivers involved in the incident.

The identity of the deceased man was withheld pending notification of next of kin. At this time, an investigation is still currently underway.
