One Pronounced Dead after Auto-Pedestrian Collision near Goodrich Avenue

AUSTIN, TX (May 14, 2024) – One person died Wednesday night in April, in a pedestrian crash at the 2200 block of South Lamar Boulevard.

Police officers responded to the scene around 8:43 p.m., near Goodrich Avenue on April 10th.

According to reports, a car struck a pedestrian on the 2200 block of South Lamar Boulevard. The pedestrian sustained severe injuries and was immediately transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center.

Despite medical efforts, the pedestrian later died from their injuries. The driver involved remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

Currently, the circumstances of the auto-pedestrian crash on Lamar Boulevard are still being investigated. Police do not believe intoxication was a factor in the collision. Additional details will be provided as they become available.
