Man Fatally Struck in DUI Collision near Silverado Ranch Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (February 25, 2022) – Thursday morning, 27-year-old Pearl Angob was arrested after a DUI crash on Eastern Avenue.

The incident occurred around 1:44 a.m., in the 9900 block of Eastern Avenue between St. Rose Parkway and Silverado Ranch Boulevard.

According to the investigators, Angob was driving a 2016 Toyota Carolla, heading south on Eastern Avenue. There, she failed to maintain the lane and veered into a barrier.

Eventually, her vehicle also struck a homeless woman who was lying in a nearby homestead. Due to the impact of the crash, the pedestrian died at the scene.

Meanwhile, 27-Year-Old Angob, the driver of the Toyota, remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Officials say Angob showed signs of driving under the influence of alcohol. She was later booked on suspicion of DUI resulting in death after being assessed for minor injuries at UMC.

At this time, an investigation is still ongoing.
