61-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Multi-Vehicle Collision near Technology Drive
PALMDALE, CA (January 5, 2022) – Paula Scott died Friday afternoon after two vehicles collided head-on along Sierra Highway.
According to the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, the incident took place at 5:30 p.m., along the railroad tracks just south of Technology Drive.
For reasons unknown, the driver of a northbound vehicle crossed the double yellow lines and collided head-on into another car.
Due to the impact of the collision, medics pronounced one of the passengers, 61-year-old Scott of Palmdale, dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, both drivers sustained injuries and were taken to a local hospital for further treatment. According to preliminary investigation, alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the accident.
