The promoter of summer's controversial Electric Daisy Carnival in Los Angeles says that despite the fear of ecstasy-crazed kids overrunning such public venues, his other parties have gone off without a hitch. His latest case in point: The annual Noctural party over the weekend in San Bernardino.

A statement from Pasquale Rotella's Insomniac Events claims the event broke attendance records, with 42,000 enduring triple-digit temps to see Ferry Corsten, Steve Angello, Plump DJs and more.
The promoter has been under scrutiny after a 15-year-old who attended Electric Daisy Carnival at the publicly operated Los Angeles Coliseum in June apparently overdosed on ecstasy and died a few days later.

The event also saw some gatecrashing, lots of drug-related hospital visits and at least 60 arrests. A county task force is looking at the viability of holding raves at such public venues, and the Coliseum Commission stated it could cut off such events after contracts for parties run out in 2011.
Insomniac is suing the city of Los Angeles and the Convention Center for canceling a Halloween weekend rave following the “EDC” controversy.
