Chinatown has been home to some pretty cool clubs over the years, and Club Transistor was definitely one of the spiffiest. The ’60s- and ’70s-heavy dance party also meshed groovy ’80s and ’90s sounds (influenced by the previous decades) in a stylish and seamless way that made it a hot gathering in the early 2000s.

Original DJs Dorian Valenzuela and Alex Luevano are back spinning the modish mixes, and they’re hoping old regulars and newbies alike rival the colors on the light-up dance floor by dusting off “those old go-go boots” or sending “that old suit to the cleaners.” Dress up for this one-night-only pop-up party and you’ll be tuned into their frequency. Sounds range from Brit pop to psych to new wave to the unexpected.
