The '90s are officially retro. For real this time! Some clubs tried to make it happen before, but it finally seems to have that pop! pow! wow! factor. The Spice Girls and 'N Sync now are the so-called classics that 20-somethings grew up with, and this guilty-pleasure dance dreck again sounds fresh to us — in spite of our otherwise impeccably good taste!

Bruce Perdew (known best for Goth grinders like Perversion and Helter Skelter and the '80s retro night Blue Monday, which is, like, Lawrence Welk to millennials) has a new one called Rump Shaker happening at Premiere. It promises to celebrate everything from “No Doubt & Nine Inch Nails to Dr. Dre & the Spice Girls.” Phew!
If this party takes off, it will only be a matter of time until the next flashback dance-party sensation kicks the '90s to the curb: the auto-tuned body rock and hip-hop pop-slop of the aughts. Miley Cyrus is the new Madonna — or is that the new Britney? We feel old, and for once we're OK with that.
