It's a weekend of rocking out and looking back! First up, at the Dragonfly, a burlesque show and party that promises to be banging in more ways than one: the Gods of Rock Sextravaganza features music's most iconic rock stars, interpreted by L.A.'s best-known burlesque performers.

Here's the intriguing part: None of the stars are women. Yep, this one will be a drag king thing, with everyone from Freddie Mercury to Paul Stanley to Mick Jagger getting the dance, lip-sync and strip treatment by ladies who love them. Hotter than hell! A rock star costume contest, fashion show and DJs amp up the festivities after the show. Check out thedragonfly.com for ticket info.

Also, we're happy to join the retro-rocking fun on the decks at two more homage-themed happenings. First, on Saturday, we'll be at Loaded, as supergroup Lords of the Damned plays dark classics from Lords of the New Church and The Damned, among others, plus more bands and DJs. And on Sunday, Complex is celebrating owner John Giovanazzi's birthday with a free/open-to-the-public, Back to the Future – themed dance party featuring tons of L.A's best-known DJs and tribute band The Flux Capacitors. And '80s costumes are appreciated but not required.
