Part Time Punks always throws brilliant bashes, particularly with its theme nights paying homage to seminal record labels and retro U.K. hotbeds. But when it comes to celebrating rock’s most iconic music makers, only one PTP tributee makes us bow in shameless reverence: David Bowie.

Though he released a compilation with a new song, “Nothing Has Changed,” last year, and was the subject of a recent touring art exhibit, “David Bowie Is,” Bowie has not played live since 2006. (We’re surely not the only ones crossing our glitter-tipped fingers for some Ziggy Stardust when the Coachella lineup gets announced every year, right?) Until he decides to take the stage again, all diehards can do is catch tribute bands and celebrate his catalog on the dance floor. And if PTP’s past Bowie tributes are any indication, this is the dance floor to do just that, red shoes or no.

DJ Michael Stock and guest Jose Maldonado promise all Bowie’s best for night, from “Ziggy to Iggy to Eno to Fripp to Bolan to Lennon to Jagger and Lou and Andy and Freddy (Mercury) and even Nicholas Roeg and David Lynch.” And, as in past years, the party’s beloved Bowie cutout will be on hand for hot tramp photo opps.
