An early kickoff to L.A. Zine Week, this party for the latest issue of experimental lit and art mag Dum Dum should evoke the weirdo cool of the publication, with live performances, readings, DJs and more.

The highlight of the night will surely be Bloody Death Skull, who’ll use DD as inspiration for their performance, just as they did on their last EP, which was based on an entire issue. This time around, issue No. 5, titled “Post & Present,” gets their clamorous treatment. Yes, they’ll surely go postal onstage — the entire issue is inspired by mail, after all.

Also making “mag”-nificent live music for the bash: Tulips and So Many Wizards. DJ DM Collins spins DIY dance and rock to continue the revelry, which will also include installations and stamp-/mail-themed art.
