It’s enough to make a Gen-X’er go postal: The ’90s are officially and majorly retro in clubland right now.

Most young clubsters were literally babies when Amy Heckerling’s film Clueless came out, which makes it the definitive pop culture inspiration for nostalgic fashion and music. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the teen classic’s release, Club 90s is totally wiggin’ with party extras including a Cher-inspired “Closet” photo booth, movie swag (buttons and T-shirts), a look-alike contest and special visuals.

Of course, it’s the music of the era and from the film that’ll make this party pop. DJs Bipjeffington, Bruce Perdew and Jason Lavitt will spin all ’90s on both the decks and the video screens, a combo that’s made the club a big hit at various locales, most recently the Regent. Think TLC to B.I.G., No Doubt to Spice Girls, with an emphasis on mid-decade faves from 1995 and, of course, Clueless soundtrack anthems. So, like, they can’t not play The Muffs covering “Kids in America” or Coolio’s “Rolling With the Homies,” OK? As if!
