Whether gay or straight, nervous newbies who were too intimidated to hit up the leather bar Eagle L.A. on a normal night never felt that way at the parties known as Cub Scout. Four years ago, Chris Bowen and his pals brought their bash to the Silver Lake bar, giving it an ironic Boy Scout theme and spinning the most varied mix the place had seen in ages.

To celebrate the party's anniversary this week, special guest SONNS will lit a fire as only he knows how. Also known as producer/DJ Alexandre Mouracade, SONNS made his name as the founder of the Making Shapes parties. Lately his production work has taken him to another level. Expect a lush mix of techno, house, disco and more as he leads Silver Lake's tastemakers and tech lovers on the floor.

Joining him will be Bowen and Victor Rodriguez, Scout residents and respected turntable talents in their own right. San Francisco's Lady Bear hosts.
