A celebration of bondage might seem ironic for the July Fourth weekend, when themes of liberty and independence ring. But what Bondage Ball really celebrates is the freedom to let your freak flag fly.

Now in its 12th year, the fetish dance extravaganza brings out the wildest getups L.A. has ever seen. Indeed, this one is pretty much all about what people are wearing (and aren’t wearing).

This year they’ve got some badass beat lashers to look forward to as well: DJ Andy LaPlegua (Combichrist) and DJ Heavygrinder. Plus, an array of go-go girls and guys, contortionists, fetish models and S&M-themed amusements that will awe more than any fireworks display.
