Fashion and inclusivity don’t always go hand-in-hand. As a back-to-back c-section champ myself, I’m all to aware of how difficult it is to find athletic and athleisure fits that not only feels good on my body, but gives me the free range of movement I so desperately need to chase around two toddler boys. I have a few tried-and-trusted brands that kind of look great on me, but I’ve been steadily missing out on the actual fashion of the category, finding most stylish pieces to be nonsensical for my body type.

Sisters and YouTube creators, Alisha Marie and Ashley Nichole, must have felt my plight, because as of today, their inclusive fashion brand offering elevated closet staples for all shapes and sizes, Parallel Apparel, has launched.

Named for the sisters’ parallel sense of style, Parallel Apparel was inspired by their collective social media following of over 20 million bodies, and the desire to create something that would look great on all of them.

“I am someone who feels my sexiest when I am comfortable in what I am wearing. We created Parallel Apparel for everyone regardless of size, shape, gender or identity to feel the best they can in their own skin,” says co-founder Alisha Marie. “We designed this line to be inclusive, luxurious, versatile and most importantly accessible to everyone.”

According to the company’s latest release: as co-founders and CEOs of Parallel Apparel, Alisha and Ashley have spent the last two years designing and developing the brand resulting in a contemporary fashion collection that speaks to the modern day individual looking for sustainable, inclusive and versatile clothing. The initial launch will feature the Disruptor Collection, which features a mix of neutral toned, luxe basics including leggings, hoodies, joggers, t-shirts, bike shorts, and more.

“As sisters, best friends and business partners, we are both so different, but our lives co-exist in parallel next to each other,” said co-founder Ashley Nichole. “Parallel Apparel is all about inspiring everyone to stay true to their journey and live in parallel with each other while celebrating each other’s one-of-a-kind journeys together.”

Created for people of all genders, sizes, and identities, the collection offers sizes ranging from XS-XXXL. Prices range from $35-$118. Sustainably and ethically made in Los Angeles, each piece is designed to make the wearer feel confident and unapologetically sexy as-is.
