Leon Rosby was adamant that the cops fatally shot his dog for no reason. The late June confrontation between the 3-year-old Rottweiler and police was caught on video and beamed around the world.

But a second video emerged that clearly showed the dog attacking an officer viciously. And now prosecutors say Rosby, 52, confronted the neighbor who took that footage and threatened her:

Yeah, it was the neighbor's fault that reality was captured on video so that this guy couldn't argue his dog was wrongfully shot. Allegedly.

According a D.A.'s statement:

After the second video was released, Rosby allegedly went to the witness's residence and had a verbal confrontation with her and her son.

[First video]:

Bad move, if true. Now Rosby faces these allegations, the D.A.'s office announced today: Two felony counts of dissuading a witness, two felony counts of witness intimidation, two of making criminal threats, and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.

He was due in court this afternoon. Prosecutors said they'd ask for bail to be set at $310,000.

The confrontation happened June 30 near 137th Street and Jefferson Avenue in Hawthorne when cops responded to arrested two armed robbery suspects holed up in a residence.

The police presence apparently drew out Rosby, whom officers said was known to confront police about alleged abuse. He got too close, cops said, and after being told to back off was arrested.

His dog jumped out of his car window and went after officers, triggering the shooting.

[Second video]:

After the first video was released animal rights activists and anti-police protesters were up in arms. Even the hacker group Anonymous got involved, apparently shutting down the Hawthorne Police Department's website in retaliation for the shooting.

But then the second video emerged. A police spokesman said it “pretty much shows that there wasn't anything else that the officer could have done.”

Now Rosby faces five years behind bars if he's successfully convicted.
