So much for our brief Fall fling with rainy weather, this weekend was hot in more ways than one: L.A. Human/Nature Party at Serendipity

Yeah, yeah, we know. Partygoers in L.A. love any excuse to hit the town in costume. Treetop Productions calls Serendipity “the most unique party experience in L.A.” The interactive multimedia event took place downtown on Saturday and featured aerial dancers, music by Carlos Niño of Dublab and Anthony Valadez of KCRW, costumed fashions by Threadbare, stilt walkers, and more. DJ Z-Trip landed in Las Vegas this weekend to debut his new residency at Rain, the high-profile club at the Palms. (Paul Oakenfold does every Saturday night at Rain.) The LA-based Z-Trip is filling the slot left vacant by the late DJ AM. Z-Trip dedicated his set on Friday night to his fallen friend. The night before, Z-Trip demoed the highly anticipated new DJ Hero video game with West Coast Sound's Randall Roberts. The two had a virtual DJ battle. Read who prevailed over at West Coast Sound and view more photos in Randal Roberts' “Z-Trip in Vegas: DJ Hero Battle and Residency Debut at The Palms” slideshow.
