This weekend was definitely one you could call a perfect beach weekend, though that didn't keep us from heading indoors for more entertainment and nights that went much later than we'd planned. We counted curse words with Denis Leary, boogied with Puscifer, partied at Electric Cherry Blossom and crammed ourselves into an office full of amazing performers at the Masses' workspace in Hancock Park. Read on for details…

Puscifer Live at Club Nokia

Maynard James Keenan brought his multimedia, multi-personality Puscifer project to Club Nokia for two nights and two completely different performances, April 4 and 5. View Timothy Norris' slideshow for photos of night two. Sweethead opened and DJ Travis Keller spun in the VIP lounge. Check out our video interview with Keenan here.

To kick off the fifth season of his FX drama Rescue Me, star Denis Leary brought a collection of fellow stand-ups (who just happened to be series regulars) together on April 4 for the 11-city Rescue Me Comedy Tour… his first large-scale jaunt in 12 years. Julie Seabaugh was there to tally how many times Leary used of the word “fuck” and more over the course of the evening. Over the course of at least six hours on Saturday night, the Masses

posse presented a handful of musical peers into its workspace for an

evening of performances. The space, consisting of offices and a couple

little apartments, ended up crammed with people, who watched artists,

including singer/songwriter Mia Doi Todd, Carlos Nino and Gaby Hernandez, Grace Woodroofe, Grant Leuchtner, and his Orchestra move from room to room playing music.
