Well, we survived election week and like many of you I spent a majority of the weekend trying not to get out of bed, reflecting on what an absolutely amazing (yet exhausting) November we've had thus far. Over the weekend, while some Angelenos traded in partying for protesting, others opted to check out the special events that rolled through town. L.A. Weekly caught a few good ones:

Kat Von D and Bam Margera Present Element Skateboard Series at Active Store in Westwood

L.A. Ink tattoo artist Kat Von D joined MTV skateboarding prankster Bam Margera for the launch of the Element X Kat Von D Collectors Series Skateboard. Hundreds of fans turned out for the board signing, skating and performance by Mike V's band Revolution Mother.

Van Morrison Performs at the Hollywood Bowl
