OTTTO-Palooza: Bryan Ferretti, singer and guitarist with Venice Beach rockers OTTTO, told us about his SuicideBoys/Lollapalooza experience.

Bryan Ferretti: As soon as we saw the bill for Lollapalooza Chicago, we were ecstatic. SuicideBoys were on it and we were dead set on seeing them play. We began listening to SuicideBoys a couple years back when we were first discovering the rap scene and many other artists we now listen to. They were playing an afterparty at the House Of Blues, and we ended up getting tickets to go.

We walked about a mile and a half to the show through downtown, just talking about how insane this show was about to be. When we got in, Night Lovell had just started his set. He was the opening act. We haven’t heard much of his music, but the mosh pit was huge for the entire show. Night Lovell was an incredible performer. His stage presence and command captured all of our attention, and we were going nuts. It was hard to imagine and process how the night just kept ramping up.

SuicideBoys went on and the energy in the room exploded — the energy from SuicideBoys was unmatched. We were able to watch the show from both the floor and the upper level box seats. Seeing the performance from both angles was something we had never had the chance to do before, especially in a legendary venue like House Of Blues. The energy in the room was so intense and the fans knew every word to every song that was played. SuicideBoys’ music is intense and in your face. They really brought it that night because all of our shirts were soaked with sweat from moshing with the crowd. The night was just so special being in Chicago, being at the House Of Blues, and seeing one of our favorite artist play. This concert was really special to us and the time we had there was unforgettable.
