Fatal Pedestrian Collision near 54th Street in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 17, 2021) – Wednesday night, Osvaldo Flores was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Broadway Street.

The incident happened around 9:55 p.m., at Broadway and 54th Street, as per the Los Angeles Police Department.

According to the authorities, Osvaldo Flores was crossing in a marked crosswalk but walking against the “Don’t Walk” sign when suddenly he was struck by a Wrecker Tow-Truck.

Reports indicate that the pedestrian was dragged for about 180 feet before becoming dislodged. The driver stopped but fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.

Paramedics arrived shortly after and pronounced 55-year-old Osvaldo Flores dead at the scene.

The city of Los Angeles is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest of a fatal hit-and-run driver.

Meanwhile, the crash is still under going active investigation.
