DUI Multi-Vehicle Accident on McLeod Drive and Tropicana Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (May 27, 2021) – 44-year-old Oscar Rios was arrested early Sunday morning after a multi-vehicle crash on McLeod Drive.
The incident took place near E. Tropicana Avenue just after 6:45 a.m., May 23. Crews arrived shortly after.
According to reports, a GMC Yukon, a BMW X6, and a Nissan Rogue were involved. While changing lanes at high speed, the BMW struck the left rear of the GMC Yukon before rear-ending the Nissan.
The collision pushed the Nissan across the intersection, where it collided with the BMW on the south side of the intersection.
Paramedics arrived and rushed the 45-year-old female driver of the Nissan to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver and passenger of the BMW were also taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
In addition, the occupants of the GMC were hurt but did not require emergency transportation.
Authorities later booked the 44-year-old BMW driver, Oscar Rios, to Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of DUI.
