Woman Killed in Deadly Collision on Sun City Anthem Drive

LAS VEGAS, NV (April 22, 2022) – Late Monday afternoon, Oscar Perez was arrested after a fatal car accident on Volunteer Boulevard.

Emergency crews responded to the scene around 4:43 p.m., near Sun City Anthem Drive.

Per reports, a Ford SUV and a Jeep SUV were stopped at a red light when the driver of a Ford pickup-truck struck them.

Authorities later identified the pickup-truck driver as 53-year-old Perez. Medics also transported an 83-year-old woman who was a passenger inside the pickup-truck, to Sunrise Hospital. There, she died the following day.

Police say impairment was a factor in the deadly incident. Officers took Oscar Perez to Henderson Detention Center, where he faces several charges, including driving under the influence.
