2 Pronounced Dead after Fiery Collision on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, CA (October 26, 2021) Oscar Moreno and Jessica Honor both died in a fiery crash on Garden Street, Wednesday evening.

The incident took place around 6:15 p.m., near the on-ramp to Highway 101 from Garden Street.

Moreno was driving a 1997 Mercedes S 500 exiting the freeway on the southbound lanes at a high rate of speed. The vehicle then exited the highway and came to a stop after colliding with a concrete wall.

Additionally, the truck rolled, landed on its wheels, and became engulfed in flames.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, both Moreno and Honor were pronounced dead.

Additionally, the on-ramp was closed for many hours, and cars were advised to avoid the area until the incident was resolved.
