33-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Train Accident on First Street

POMONA, CA (February 2, 2022) – 33-year-old Osbaldo Valdivia lost his life Monday morning, in a train collision on Huntington Street.

The crash happened on the train tracks at First and Huntington Street around 1:00 a.m., January 24th.

At this time, the events that led to the collision remain unknown. However, officers located one person dead at the scene.

California Highway Patrol officers temporarily blocked affected roads in order to secure and clear the area. Officials have not released further information about the crash, but an active investigation is underway.

Investigators ask witnesses to reach out and cooperate as soon as possible. Pomona police will release additional information once it becomes available.
